MAGNETIC TAPE CASSETTE APPARATUS

In a magnetic-tape cassette apparatus a pressure roller (7) and a magnetic head (6) are arranged on a head support (8). There is further provided a cassette compartment for receiving a magnetic-tape cassette (4), in which compartment an ejection lever (52) is pivotally mounted. This lever is pivoted upon insertion of a cassette into the cassette compartment and actuates switching means (12) for moving the head support towards the cassette and also tensions an ejection spring (69) which is kept in a tensioned condition by latching means. The switching means comprise a movable play member (65) and a pause spring (85) which is connected thereto and which is tensioned when the election lever is pivoted. The play member is latched by a pause latch (89) in the tensioned condition of the pause spring. The pause latch can be actuated independently of the latching means for enabling a pause mode without the necessity of releasing the ejection spring.
