PURPOSE:To sufficiently ensure the capacity of a surge tank and the length of a separate intake passage, by tilting an upper part of the surge tank along a bonnet line while forming the separate intake passage, arranged from both side surfaces of the surge tank to each cylinder, in a shape such that the lower is a part in its height the larger the part is tilted. CONSTITUTION:A surge tank 6, tilting its upper wall 6e and decreasing height of the front part, connects a U-shaped part 10a, 10b in a separate intake passage 8A, 8B in a position of height lower than that of a passage in a rear part. Consequently, the U-shaped part 10a, 10b in the front is arranged larger tilting to the front than the U-shaped part 10a, 10b in the rear. That is, the separate intake passage 8A in the front part, forming an angle alpha with respect to the horizontal plane smaller than an angle beta of the intake passage 8a in the rear part, large tilts to the front from the vertical direction. |
