PURPOSE:To prevent fears of generating a contamination in a heat developing processor and a fire by using a carboxylic acid salt having a decarboxylation property and producing a decarbonic acid decomposition product having a prescribed b.p. CONSTITUTION:The above-mentioned salt producing the decarbonic acid decomposition product of the carboxylic acid having >=160 deg.C b.p. under a normal pressure is used and is preferable to decompose to carbon dioxide at about 80-200 deg.C e.g. a compd. shown by the formula {R-(CO2)m}.M or {R- (CO2H)m}.Bn (wherein M is an alkaline metal ion, a quaternary ammonium ion or an alkaline earth metal; (m), (n) and X are each 1 or 2; an acidic part and a basic part of the salt are combined so as to neutralize electric charges of both part, R is >=C2 alkyl radical having an electrophilic radical at alpha-position; B is preferably an organic base having >=7 Pka and <=C12 atoms). The larger the Pka value of the base is, the more a nonvolatile carbonate is preferably produced by catching CO2 generated in the thermal decomposition of the precursor. The heat developing takes place without causing an environmental pollution by using the basic precursor producing nonvolatile heat decomposition product. |
