PURPOSE:To attain automatic adjustment for variance of the relative height of plural magnetic heads attached to a VTR reproduction cylinder, by recognizing a magnetic head to receive the fine adjustment for calculation of a control amount and performing the fine adjustment after detecting a contact point between a control screw and a head base for execution of the rough control. CONSTITUTION:When a cylinder 2 is set on a turntable 8, a driver 14A moves down and the tip of a control driver 24 touches an adjusting screw 7A. The torque is produced when a pulse motor 14 is revolved and contact is secured between the screw 7a and a head base 4. This contact is recognized by a microprocessor 32 by means of the signal of a distortion gauge 3-4. Then a fixed rotational number is indicated to a motor drive circuit 33 to give flexion to the base 4. The table 8 is revolved to give flexion also to another base 4 by the same initial amount. When the rough adjustment is over, the adjusting amount of a lower magnetic head 1 is calculated from the data on the tip height of the head 1 through a picture processor 35. This lower head 1 is set under the drive 41A, and the driver 24 is revolved by a calculated amount when the torque is detected. Thus the fine adjustment is carried out. |
