PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body which is stable to heat and light and has excellent carrier generating power by providing a photosensitive layer contg. the azo compd. expressed by the formula. CONSTITUTION:The azo compd. expressed by the formula is used as the photoconductive material constituting the photosensitive layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body. In the formula, x denotes a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, lower alkyl group, lower alkoxy group; R denotes a substituent having >=-0.2 substituent constant (sigma para); n is 1, 2 or 3 and when n is 2 or 3, R may not be the same group. The photosensitive body which has excellent film properties, has excellent electrophotographic characteristics such as charge holding power, sensitivity and residual potential, decreases the deterioration by fatigue even after repetitive use and can provide the stable characteristics to heat or light as well is thus obtd. |
