The present invention relates to a communication system comprising a plurality of communication units (1, 2, 3) which are coupled together by coupling means (4), for example in the form of a physical conductor. Each unit is provided with first means (10) for receiving auditive information and/or second means (11) for transmitting auditive information. Certain units are allotted a group assignment and are arranged to establish a conference call facility, where an analogue signal deriving from transmitted auditive information is subjected to a sampling process. For the purpose of transmitting auditive information and/or for receiving auditive information, all units (1, 2, 3) associated with the group are arranged to utilize one and the same time slot (t3) in a time frame used for the sampling process, such that when information is transmitted simultaneously from two or more units (1, 2) the sampling contributions are summated within time slots (t3) via the unit-interlinking-means (4), so that a plurality of information signals can be evaluated simlutaneously via the first means (10) of the unit (3). |
