<p>1300223 Make-up compositions B ASKVOLD 5 March 1970 [7 March 1969] 12259/ 69 Heading A5B Make-up compositions (e.g. foundations, make-up removers, eye shadows, eye liners, rouge paste and lipsticks) comprise a filmforming base comprising a hydrocarbon polymer having a molecular weight in the range 400 to 6000, 0.1 to 5% by weight of a metal salt of a fatty acid having at least 12 carbon atoms and a substantially odourless solvent (boiling in the range 100-250‹C) for the filmforming base in an amount of 100 to 500% by weight based on the hydrocarbon polymer. The hydrocarbon polymer may be a microcrystalline wax or a linear polyethylene having a molecular weight in the range 1000 to 4000, the solvent may be white spirits and the metal salt may be aluminium, lithium, calcium or magnesium mono-, di- or tristearate. The compositions may also contain a paraffin wax, a UV absorber, a perfume, an inorganic pigment, an antioxidant (such as butylated hydroxytoluene or butylated hydroxyanisole), fatty alcohols, and/or a flaky pigment (such as mica and metals in flake form).</p> |
