PURPOSE:To comply with connection requests whenever the requests are sent from a higher layer to a lower layer by issuing a command for receiving connection requests to the lower layer as many as said received connection requests, and sending the reception command for the specific number of connection requests to the lower layer all the time. CONSTITUTION:The higher communication control layer (e.g. session layer) sends out a reception command (open command) for the constant number of connection requests. It can not be judged when a connection request arrives. Therefore, the session layer issues plural (e.g. alpha) open commands. The open commands are queued in a command queue 46 as shown in a figure. An answer monitor process 44, on the other hand, runs periodically to check whether an answer are queued from the descriptor for the anser queue. When the anser is queued, it is released immediately and RESULT is returned for the corresponding function of a corresponding user process. A connection request monitor process 45 also runs periodically as well. |
