PURPOSE:To reduce the disorder of an air-fuel ratio in time of fuel cutting, by setting two kinds of fuel-cut engine speed setting values and, when an engine speed goes beyond the first setting value, cutting fuel for a half number of cylinders while if it exceeds the second value, cutting the fuel for all cylinders. CONSTITUTION:In order to prevent an engine from overrunning, a first fuel-cut engine speed and a second fuel-cut engine speed being larger than the former both are set at a fuel-cut controller. And, when an engine speed exceeds the first setting speed, a half number of cylinders alone are subjected to fuel cut. And when the engine speed goes beyond the second setting speed, fuel for all cylinders is cut. With this constitution, the disorder of an air-fuel ratio at every cylinder in time of fuel cutting is well reduced and, what is more, hunting width in the engine speed is reducible. |
