PURPOSE:To offer various service activities to customers by transmitting the information on a host computer to an IC card itself and performing various types of transactions based on the information stored in the IC card and by means of an operating part, a display part and a power supply provided to the card. CONSTITUTION:The transaction information stored in a customer data base 6 is supplied to and stored in a memory part 7 formed by an IC within an IC card 1. In this case, the card 1 is put into a card reader/writer unit 2 and a key input unit 3 is operated with an indication given from a customer display unit 4. Then a due owner of the card 1 is confirmed by his/her proper identification number, etc. The necessary information is transmitted to the part 7 from the base 6 through an IC connection terminal 10 of the card 1 via a main control unit 5 and the unit 2 after the card owner is confirmed. When the inquiry of data is carried out by means of the card 1, a power supply 12 of the card is switched on for operation of the key of an operating part 9. Then a control part 11 extracts the desired information out of the part 7 and displays it on a display part 8. |
