PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a positive electrode and a separator by forming a positive electrode pedestal having its center punched portion of a roundish state after punching its center punching portion toward a negative electrode direction from a positive electrode and also, pressing the burr which is produced by the punching. CONSTITUTION:A button type alkaline cell, enclosing the built-up layer of a positive electrode 1, a separator 4, and a negative electrode 5 into its internal portion between a positive electrode case 2 and a sealing plate 7, is formed after sealing its mouth. And, when caulking the sealed portion, catching the pressure acting on the positive electrode 1 uniformly to prevent its damage, and punching a positive electrode pedstal 3 which is arranged on the positive electrode 1 surface so as to have its center punched portion toward the negative electrode 5 direction from the positive electrode 1 and also, pressing the burr which is produced at a portion of its mouth edge, and the center punched portion of the pedestal of plate, obtuse and roundish one is formed. Therefore, the crack of the positive electrode 1 and the damage of the separator 4 can be prevented and the improvement in preservative reliability of the cell can be obtained. |
