PURPOSE:To prevent deformation of the enclosin ring or expansion of the case bottom, by forming a cavity at the upper periphery of the enclosing ring at its beginning, which is placed between the positive electrode case opening and the enclosing plate, and is of L shape in section. CONSTITUTION:This enclosed cell consists of positive electrode compound 2, separators 4, absorbent material 5, negative electrode 8, etc. The enclosing ring 6 placed between the positive electrode case 1 and the enclosing plate 7 of the cell, and made of nylon etc., with L shape in section, is formed making a cavity 6a at the upper periphery of the ring at its beginning. The opening of the positive electrode case 1 is formed bent and sealed, positioning the top 1a of the opening at the cavity 6a. Thus, even though the pressure rate to the enclosing ring 6 is larger, any extreme deformation of the enclosing ring 6, or expansion of the bottom of case 1 etc. will not occur, so that the leak-sealing property can be improved. |
