The roofing element 1 comprises an insulating layer 2 of mineral wool. On top of the insulating layer 2 is laid an underfelt 3 and beneath the insulating layer 2 is laid an adhesion-friendly underlay 4 of a material consisting of a foil, a non-woven or woven strip. These three layers are sewn together at the factory using stitch rows 5. On top of this sewn-together element a top felt 6 can be hot- glued at the factory for the finalization of the roofing element. Despite the fact that the mineral wool has very little interlaminar strength, which is insufficient to directly fasten a roofing element by gluing the mineral wool layer to the base course 20, a roofing element is hereby obtained having a mineral wall insulating layer which can easily be glued to a base course 20 without using mechanical means which might act destructively upon the base course, especially when this is made of concrete. <IMAGE>
