The device includes a tubular passage (34) at an angle of 20-45 deg. to the surface of a plane fireplace grate (5). The passage extends upwardly from below a feed-in opening in the grate. The opening is adjacent the grate circumference. In the passage is a conveyor screw (11). - The screw is supported at two positions and has a successively increasing pitch in the direction towards an outlet. - The passage is formed in a jacket (13) having a coolant inlet (14). The screw can be driven by e.g. a hydraulic motor (26). |
