<p>PURPOSE:To permit the stable steering by installing an electromagnetic adjusting means for adjusting the flow rate of fluid by an electromagnetic force into the communication passage of a cylinder equipped with a piston interlocked with a rack shaft, thus varying the damper effect. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 4 which is equipped with a piston 3 and filled with fluid is installed on the axis-center line of a rack shaft 2 which directly moves in the engagement with the piston by the steering of an input shaft 1. An adjusting valve 7 is arranged at the position for connecting the both of the communication passages 5 and 6 for the communication of two chambers in the cylinder divided by the piston 3. The other edge of the adjusting valve is held into an electromagnetic coil 9, and shifts in the coil 9 in the axial direction in correspondence with the variation of the electric current which excites the electromagnetic coil 9 and varies the flow rate of the liquid. An adjusting member 8 is operated by a controller 15 on the basis of the signal supplied from sensors 10-15.</p> |
