PURPOSE:To supply a developer accurately by providing a control means which controls the developer supply to a developing device in accordance with the intensity and the irradiation time of light irradiated to a photosensitive body and a voltage applied to a triboelectrifier. CONSTITUTION:An optical signal whose turn-on/off is controlled by a picture signal is irradiated from a laser 1 to a photosensitive body 3 through a half mirror 2 to form an electrostatic latent image. Meanwhile, the signal converted by a photodetector 4 is inutted to an adder 6 and the first level detector 7 through an A/D converter 5. The second level detector 11 detects the output from a high voltage power source 8 which is inputted to a triboelectrifier 9. The detector 7 stops the operation of the adder 6 if its output is ''0'', and the detector 11 stops the operation of the adder 6 if its output is ''0''. The addition result is outputted to a comparator 13 and is compared with a reference value from a reference value generator 14, and the result is outputted to a developer supply part 15. Thus, the developer is supplied accurately to a developing device 16. |
