PURPOSE:To make a unit small-sized and shorter in the transverse direction by providing a developing means in the position where the surface of an image forming medium goes upward from a lower latent image forming position to an upper image transfer position and providing a cleaning means in the position where the surface of the image forming medium goes downward and storing a developer in the lower part of a casing. CONSTITUTION:A developing means 10 is arranged in the left of a photosensitive drum 10, and a cleaning means 30 is arranged in the right. The photosensitive drum 10 is rotated in the direction of an arrow (a), and an electric charge is given to the drum by a charging charger 43, and an electrostatic latent image is formed by an exposure means 40. This electrostatic latent image is developed by a developing sleeve 21 of the developing means 20 and is transferred through a transfer charger 47 to a copy paper 43 carried in the direction of an arrow (e). A remaining toner on the drum 10 is scraped by a cleaning blade 31, and the remaining electric charge is erased by an eraser lamp 44, and the toner is recovered in a toner tank part in the bottom of a casing 1 through a path 5. |
