PURPOSE:To enhance resolving power, by providing a pre-spectroscope in front of the main spectroscope of a spectrophotometer and by reflecting light by two concave surface diffraction gratings so as to turn back the same two times. CONSTITUTION:The light from a light source 1 or light source 2 is reflected by a light source mirror 3 to be condensed n an incident slit 21 and enters a pre- spectroscope 20. The light entering this pre-spectroscope 20 is dispersed and reflected by a concave surface diffraction gratint 19 to enter a main spectroscope 4 through an intermediate incident slit 5 and dispersed by the concave surface diffraction grating 6 being the duffusing element provided ina spectroscope 4 while the spectral image of this dispersed light is formed on the emitting slit 7 provided to said spectroscrope 4. Only the light, which passed through the aformentioned emitting slit in the light of which the spectral image was formed, is taken out as monochromatic light to enter a detector 14. As mentioned above, because light is reflected so as to be turned back only two times by the concave surface diffraction gratings 6, 19, the curving degree of a spectrum by aberration can be reduced. |
