ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC DEVELOPING METHOD

PURPOSE:To obtain good visible images with a nonmagnetic toner by carrying a developer to a developing area between a latent image carrier and a counter electrode by an air current. CONSTITUTION:The developer where a magnetic carrier and the nonmagnetic toner in a developing hopper 3 is agitated by an agitating member 8 and is supplied to a magnetic roll 4. A part of the develope which is carried upward by the rotation of the magnetic roll 4 in the direction of an arrow is controlled by a control member 5 and is carred to a part near the aperture of a discharge nozzle 6. The developer is separated from the magnetic roll 4 by the air current discharged from the nozzle 6 and is carried to the developing area to develop a latent image on a latent image carrier 1 through an electrode 2. Since the gap between the latent image carrier 1 and the counter electrode 2 can be narrowed, good visible images are obtained with the nonmagnetic toner.
