PURPOSE:To secure a high-performance carburetor in accord with a tilt of a suction hole in an engine without altering any structure in a float chamber, by installing a suction passage in a piston valve, which opens or closes the suction passage in a way of sliding vertically, after being tilted by almost nearly 10 deg. in vertical directions. CONSTITUTION:A carburetor 1 installs a suction passage 2 in making it tilt by almost nearly 10 deg. in vertical directions and is provided with a piston valve 3 sliding vertically up and down at the central part, making the suction passage possible to open or close. The piston valve 3 is connected to a diaphragm 5 of a suction pressure chamber 4 in its upper end, making it slide with negative pressure. And, a float chamber 6 is interconnected to the underside of the suction passage 2. Then, the carburetor 1 connects an outlet of the suction passage 2 to a suction hole of an engine via a suction pipe 9, and connects an outlet of an air cleaner 10 to the inlet. According to this method, the float chamber 6 is able to be set up without any inclination and simultaneously a flow of suction air is well smoothable. |
