PURPOSE:To prevent the moving speed of a plunger from going to speed-up as well as to smoothen the said engagement between a pinion and a ring gear, by extruding a one-way clutch via a lever simultaneously with the plunger of a magnet switch moving, while engaging the pinion with the ring gear. CONSTITUTION:In case of an initial state that both end parts of an oval, tilting camform engaging part 23 installed in the tip of a lever 23 is engaged with an engaging part 9 in a joint 7, when a starter switch is closed and an attraction coil 3a is excited, a plunger 6 is made to go to the right. With this, the joint 7 is moved to the same direction via a spring 10, the lever 22 is turned around a supporting point 22a, and a pinion 19 is extruded out via a spline tube 17, and a one-way clutch 18 whereby the pinion 19 is engaged with a ring gear 20. With the movement of the plunger 6, when a traveling contact 6b is made contact with each of fixed contacts 12 and 13, a starter 2 is driven, thus cranking takes palce. |
