PURPOSE:To prevent the rise of the residual potential even in case of repeated development by electrifying positively a photosensitive body before uniform exposure for destaticization after an image subjected to reversal development is transferred. CONSTITUTION:The toner image on a photosensitive body 1 which is subjected to reversal development is transferred electrostatically to a transfer member 11 by a transfer device 6. After this transfer, the negatively electrified photosensitive body 1 is electrified positively by a destaticizer 10, and the surface if electrified neutrally or positively, and uniform exposue for destaticization is performed by the destaticizing exposure device 10 thereafter. By this positive electrification, electrons are not migrated to the photosensitive body even though they are subjected to uniform exposure for destaticization. Consequently, the residual potential does not rise even in case of the repeated use of the photosensitive body because electron do not become trapping centers of positive holes. As the result, good images are formed without the reduction of density and the degradation of contrast even if the photosensitive body is used continuously. |
