The unidirectional gas valve is for the packing of material to be decontaminated by high-frequency heating. The valve comprises two strips of plastics sheet lying flat against each other, joined together along their short edges, each sheet is sealed airtight along one lengthwise edge to the rest of the packing. The strips can have one or more intermittent sealing seams below and parallel to the lengthwise free edges.
