To the bar a current distribution is connected, comprising a sheath of titanium, zirconium or niobium, with an anodically active cover, containing a core of electrically conducting material connected electrically to the sheath. - At the point of connection a copper element, explosion welded to a connecting piece in titanium etc., is argon welded to the copper supply bar. - The connecting piece is of similar dimensions to the current distributor, which itself incorporates a tip of similar metal.
