Laminate is mfd. by lightly entangling a web of fibres using jets of fluid to form a fibrous layer with a jet side and a belt side, applying binder to the jet side, superimposing a reinforcing layer on the belt side, forming a second lightly entangled fibrous layer and applying binder to its jet side, superimposing the second fibrous layer upon the other two such that the reinforcing layer is in the middle and the jet sides of the other two face outwards, and securing the layers together.
