A textile web of elastic threads which can be easily sepd. into individual threads is made on a round of pref. a flat knitting machine as a web with a horizontal mesh structure. The threads, either bare ELASTHAN (RTM) or with an elasthan core, are unwound from a spool, given a pretension by a sinter ceramics brake and taken to the machine guide.
