Thiolan-2-ylidene aniline derivs. of formula (I) and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts are new (R is 3-10C alkyl or 5-7C cycloalkyl). They are made e.g. by reacting the corresp. aniline with methyl (1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidene) sulphonium iodide. - (I) have antiasthmatic, analgesic and esp. antiinflammatory activities, useful e.g. for treating rheumatoid arthritis. The pref. daily dose is 5-100 mg per kg, given orally.
