Pyrazolo(1,5-a)pyridine derivs. of formula (I)are new where R1 = H, 1-4C opt. branched alkyl or p-fluorophenyl; R2 = H, 1-5C opt.branched acyl, p-fluorobenzoyl, ethoxycarbonyl, ethoxycarbonylmethyl or carboxymethyl; and R3 = H, Me or Et; excluding cpds. where (a) R1 = Me, R2 = H or acetyl and R3 = H; (b) R1 = Et, R2 = H or propionyl and R3 = H; (c) R1 = n-Pr, R2 = H or n-butyryl and R3 = H; (d) R1 = R2 = R3 = H; and (e) R1 = R2 = H and R3 = acetyl.
