Hard material cone crusher

Hard materials are broken up by a machine which has a rotating disc (4) mounted on a vertical axis (20). The disc has a conical depression in its upper face to coact with a conical rotor (8). The latter is mounted on a shaft which is inclined to the axis of the disc so that a small gap (18) is formed between the two conical surfaces along a radial line. - The disc and rotor rotate in the same direction in a housing (3) with an inlet and an outlet for the material being broken up. The conical rotor is so mounted that it can be moved axially in order to vary the gap.
