PURPOSE:To improve the initial strength after molding and the productivity of a casting mold by using the acid-setting resin formed by combining a specific compd. with a binder compsn. for the casting mold. CONSTITUTION:This binder compsn. is used to form the casting mold by using the acid-setting resin as a binder and peroxide as an oxidizing agent and using sulfur dioxide. Said binder compsn. consists of ( I ) at least one kind of the polycondensation product of ketone/aldehyde, polycondensation product of arom. hydrocarbon/aldehyde, polycondensation product of resorcin/aldehyde, polycondensation product of alkyl resorcin/aldehyde and epoxy resin contg. >=2 oxirane rings or at least one kind of the copolymers thereof and (II) at least one kind of a furan resin, phoenolic resin, urea resin and melamine resin as the acid- setting resin. The content of the components of the above-described ( I ) in the binder compsn. is 3-50wt%. |
