PURPOSE:To draw directly a fine gold alloy wire from a molten gold alloy and improve yield of the product thereof by ejecting the melt of the gold alloy added with a limited weight ratio of Be through a fine hole or slit and solidifying the melt in fluid. CONSTITUTION:The molten gold alloy added with 0.001-1wt% Be is used, by which the viscosity, surface tension and surface oxidation condition of the melt and the wettability with a nozzle are changed and the jet flow of the molten gold alloy is stabilized. The reason for limiting the weight ratio lies in that the molten gold alloy is liable to granulate and that the continuous and uniform production of the wire is difficult if the ratio is <=0.001wt%. On the other hand, the characteristic and uniformity owing to an increase in the Be content are of problem while the effect of stabilizing the molten flow is satd. if the ratio is >=1wt%. Various kinds of fluid in addition to water are usable for the fluid. |
