PURPOSE:To reduce the size of an ink sheet cassette and markedly reduce the rate of occurrence of wrinkling in ink sheets, by shortening the spacing between a payout shaft and a take-up shaft for an ink sheet in an ink sheet cassette. CONSTITUTION:The ink sheet cassette 16 has left and right expanded parts 17a, 17b, one of which 17a contains the payout shaft 18, and both ends of the shaft 18 are fitted and fixed to tips of support shafts 20 rotatably fitted through bot ends in the axial direction of the expanded part 17a. One end of the take-up shaft 19 contained in the other expanded part 17b is fitted and fixed to the tip of a support shaft 20, whereas the other ens if supported by a support shaft 21 having a gear, and a driving force is transmitted thereto. The ink sheet 22 is wound around the payout shaft 18, and an end thereof is wound around the take- up shaft 19. Between the expanded parts 17a, 17b of the ink sheet cassette 16, opening parts into which a thermal head 28 is fitted are provided on the upper and lower side of the cassette 16. |
