PURPOSE:To obtain a rubber hose good in quality that is free from pinholes within the hose, by braiding a reinforcing layer around the circumference of an inner rubber layer with the outer circumferential part thereof kept in an unvulcanized state and the inner circumferential part thereof kept in a vulcanized state. CONSTITUTION:An inner rubber layer 36 is extruded using a shear head 2 provided to an extruder 1 into the shape of a tube. As the inner rubber layer 36 is heated to the vulcanization temperature due to the shearing of the rubber in a shear head 2, the vulcanization of the inner rubber layer 36 starts. By passing the inner rubber layer through the shear head 2 and then a pressurized cooling cylinder 3, where cooling is carried out by a gas, the inner circumferential section of the inner rubber layer 36 is vulcanized by the remaining heat, and only the outer circumferential section is cooled so that the section remains vulcanized. As the internal pressure of the pressurized cooling cylinder 3 is kept at a prescribed pressure, the inner rubber layer 36 can be prevented from being foaming and the outer diameter dimension can be accurately kept. The inner circumferential section of the inner rubber layer 36 is vulcanized, and the compression in the radial direction can be restricted by the hard resiliency. Thereafter, a braided reinforcing layer 37 of a reinforcing material such as fibers, steel cords, etc. is provided using a braiding machine 5 on the outer circumference of the inner rubber layer 36. |
