PURPOSE:To ensure system rising by allowing a service processor (SVP) to execute the management of normal/faulty state of a device constituting an information processing system to disconnect automatically the device in faulty state at system rising. CONSTITUTION:If a device, e.g., 2 is faulty in system operation, generation of a fault is informed to the SVP30 by a maintenance diagnosis control means 6, the analysis means of the SVP30 reads a data relating to the fault from a faulty data transfer means to analyze the faulty device and then an information processing system 10 is stopped. As a result of the analysis, the device 2 is discriminated as a faulty device and the state of the device 2 is revised as a faulty device in the state of the devices 1-4 stored in an external processing device 31. At the next system rising, the SVP30 responds to the leading information from the maintenance diagnosis control means 6 to reads the state of the system constituting devices 1-4 stored in the external storage device 31 and the constitution device state information is informed to the constitution control means 5. The means 5 is built in the system for the normal devices 1, 3, 4 only. |
