<p>PURPOSE:To perform scanning only when it is necessary to reduce power consumption by arranging a transparent panel in the front of a display surface and providing a switching means which is operated with depression of a display panel. CONSTITUTION:A hard transparent panel 3 is arranged in the front of a display surface 2a of a display device 2 and is held slidably (depressably) in a prescribed quantity to a casing 1, and pushbutton switches 4 with click touch are arranged on the outside of the display surface 2a. A touch-type coordinate input device 5 where many pairs of light emitting elements 5b and a photodetectors 5c are arranged on four sides facing each other of a frame 5a is attached to the display surface 2a through the transparent panel 3. When the tip of a finger, a penpoint, or the like is positioned in a desired position on the display surface 2a and the transparent panel 3 is depressed, pushbutton switches 4 are operated, and the coordinate input device 2 starts scanning to detect indicated coordinates. After the input, the depressing force is released to turn off pushbutton switches 4.</p> |
