PURPOSE:To prevent the storage of stagnating water in the trough part of the corrugation and to cool uniformly a steel sheet by providing prescribed auxiliary nozzles before and behind a main water injection nozzle so that the stagnating water on the top surface of the steel sheet can be confined within an extremely narrow range. CONSTITUTION:This cooler is provided with a pair of the auxiliary water injection nozzle devices 4 before and behind the main cooling water injection nozzle 1 for cooling the top surface of the hot-rolled steel sheet 3 in the advancing direction of the sheet 3 and cools the sheet 3 by the cooling water injected to the sheet 3 from the top and bottom surfaces thereof. The devices 4 inject water toward the direction where the diffusion of the stagnating water injected therefrom and accumulating on the sheet 3 is limited. |
