PURPOSE:To eliminate the color deviation of a multi-colored picture by giving the charge of a polarity same as a toner on the surface of a transfer material, impressing a reverse polarity voltage on a transfer drum and attracting the transfer material so as to fix it. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic image is exposed on a selenium photosensitive drum 10', for instance, to form the image of a negatively charged toner 9. A transfer drum 30 is so constituted as to provide a conductive elastic layer 4 and an insulating layer 5 on a conductive basic material 3. A positive bias voltage 6 is impressed to the transfer drum 30 which is brought into contact with the photosensitive drum 10' at a contact part A. A transfer material 10 is supplied as shown by an arrow D, and its surface is negatively charged by a corona discharge device 7. When the transfer drum 10' is entered to the contact part A of the drums 10' and 30, the transfer is carried out on the transfer material 10 since the negative toner 9 is attracted to the transfer drum 30. Moreover, the negative transfer material 10 is attracted to the transfer drum 30 to fix securely on the drum. Therefore, even if colors of the toner are sequentially charged, the multi-colored picture without color deviation can be obtained since the transfer material is securely fixed on the transfer drum. |
