PURPOSE:To obtain an optical connector ferrule which can be handled easily and has excellent reliability by providing a pipe-shaped ferrule protector which is protruded to the tip from a ferrule end face and has a notched part partially. CONSTITUTION:A ferrule 1 is made of a plastic and brought to mold forming as one body with an optical fiber core wire 2, and positions and fixes the end part of an optical fiber 3. A ferrule protector 6 is shaped like a pipe, has a notched part 6a which is engaged with the other ferrule protector when coupling the ferrules to each other, and its one end is fixed to a flange part 1a of the ferrule 1. Also, its free end is provided so as to protrude from the ferrule end face, and the ferrule end face is protected thereby. |
