PURPOSE:To enable the position of the first printing line to be easily adjusted on each of various papers, by minutely feeding a paper by a re-depressing an operating key after intake of the paper and movement of a carriage are completed. CONSTITUTION:On receiving a minute paper feed driving command 115, a paper- feeding motor driving part 105 minutely drives a paper-feeding motor 10 to minutely move the paper upward. The position of an upper end detector 3 is so set that when taking in the paper 4 by depressing the operating key 9, the position of the first printing line on the paper other than a standard paper will be on the lower side of a marker 7. In this case, after the paper is taken in and the carriage 6 is moved to a predetermined position, the operating key 9 or an operating key 8 is again depressed to thereby minutely move the paper upward, and when the first printing line position comes to coincide with the market 7, the depression on the key is stopped, whereby a desired position is made to be the first printing line. |
