PURPOSE:To reduce the surface defects and to improve the corrosion resistance by forming a cold rolled steel sheet having restricted C and O contents by rolling under prescribed conditions and by plating the steel sheet with a prescribed Al-Zn alloy. CONSTITUTION:A steel slab consisting of <=0.003wt% C, 0.03-0.06wt% O and the balance Fe is continuously cast. The slab is hot rolled, pickled, and cold rolled at such a draft that the product of the amount (wt%) of O in the steel and the draft (%) becomes >=2.4. The resulting cold rolled steel strip is annealed and plated with a Zn-Al alloy consisting of 3-10wt% Al and the balance Zn by continuous hot dipping. |
