PURPOSE:To improve the controlling characteristic of a control system and to shorten a positioning time by driving a stepping motor at a high speed when an error signal is large, and driving at a low speed when the signal falls within the prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:A difference between a target value applied to a target value input terminal 12 and a measured value of a control amount fed back from a detector 24 is produced in a discriminator 13 and output as an error signal (e). This signal is converted by an A/D converter 14 into a digital signal, input to a decoder 15, and supplied to a drive pulse generator 16. The generator 16 suitably reads out the signal, outputs a pulse train of high speed after the prescribed pause period when this value is the prescribed value or larger, and outputs a pulse train of low speed of the degree stopping under the preferable control characteristic of a stepping motor 22 when this value is smaller than the prescribed value. |
