This barrier is intended for protecting, marking off and indicating roadworks on a public road, more particularly in an urban location. It consists of vertical uprights 1 and horizontal elements 2. Small tubes 4 having vertical axes are fixed laterally at various levels on the uprights 1. The horizontal elements 2 comprise, at their ends, tenons inserted in a removable manner into the small tubes 4 firmly fixed to the uprights 1, so as to connect these uprights together.
