PURPOSE:To improve the performance of an ESM receiver by receiving an input signal of a logarithmic amplifier through an excess level calculator and an attenuator so as to correct the performance of the level detector while the un- saturated type circuit is used for the logarithmic amplifier circuit. CONSTITUTION:An input Vin to the logarithmic amplifier circuit enters the excess level calculator 21. When the input Vin is a value not saturating the amplifier, the input signal Vin is fed as it is to amplifiers 1a-1d. When the input Vin is a value saturating the amplifier, the input is attenuated by an attenuator 22 and the result is fed to the amplifiers 1a-1d. The output of the amplifiers 1a- 1d, the detector 2 and the delay circuit 3 is inputted to the level detector 3. The characteristic of the level detector 3.The characteristic of the level detector 23 is subject to correction for the attenuation at the attenuator 22 and detects the level. Since the output of the amplifier is not saturated, the performance of the ESM receiver is improved. |
