PURPOSE:To exactly position the butted section of a can in a slot opening section, by a method wherein a tongue is formed with a protruded lap and the can is fitted in a stator while the tongue is fitted in the slot opening section of the stator. CONSTITUTION:The primary tongue 21a in the axial direction and the secondary tongue 21d in parallel with the primary tongue are formed. After that, a can 21 is inserted through a collar side 3 or 4, and each tongue 21a, 21d is respectively fitted in each slot opening section 1c, 1e of a stator 1, and the can 21 is inserted in the stator 1, and then each end of the can 21 is welded to the collar 3 or 4. As a result, each tongue 21a, 21d is positioned in the slot opening section 1c, 1e, and so a butted section 21b is prevented from shifting to the inner circumference of a slot tooth 1f. |
