The subject of the present invention is a closing device for bags or similar packages. According to the invention, this device is formed from a strip of cardboard or similar semi-rigid material 1 of which one face is coated with a substance 2 which is adhesive under pressure and is covered by a non-adhesive protective sheet 3, a series of elements 4 being cut out in the strips of cardboard 1 while, in the protective sheet 3, there is cut out, in line with each element 4, a portion 6 whose width is less than that of the element but whose length is substantially the same. <IMAGE>
