PURPOSE:To obtain an oxyhalide battery having high capacity and high voltage by forming a positive current collector with carbon having iodine absorption and dibutyl phthalate absorption exceeding a specified value. CONSTITUTION:Thermal black whose oil absorption exceeds 210ml/100g which is the value of acetylene black used as usual current collector material, and iodine adsorption exceeds 100mg/g is used in a positive current collector 1. The thermal black is prepared from benzene and a battery using thermal black has high voltage compared with that using acetylene black. Thereby, an oxyhalide battery having high capacity and high voltage is obtained. Carbon black represented by high cohesive furnace black can be used in the positive current collector. |
