PURPOSE:To obtain a sealed lead-acid battery whose cost is low and self discharge is retarded by covering a part of a connector connecting cells with acid- resistant, insulating synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:A middle part of a cell connector 6 of an electrode plate group 1 is wrapped with a high density polyethylene film 2 or polypropylene film 2 is covered with acid resistant, insulating, and heat shrinkable tube 7 comprising polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene resin after sticking agent having good bonding ability with lead is applied on the surface, to be covered, of the connector 6. Thereby, leak current caused by creepage of electrolyte on the surface of the cell connector 6, which is caused by corrosion or surface tension of electrolyte, is prevented. |
