PURPOSE:To detect the current position even when a sensor with a large error is used by sampling the output time of a direction detecting means for a specific time, calculating the mean value of data except a maximum and a minimum value, and using the mean value as onward direction data. CONSTITUTION:A direction sensor for absolute direction detection, direction sensor for relative direction detection, vehicle speed pulse sensor, and operation switch part are connected to interfaces 36, 37, 38, and 39, and their output signals are supplied to an MPU31 and a RAM32. Further, the MPU31 processes data on the basis of the arithmetic processing of operation program in the an ROM33 to write the result in the RAM32 and also display it in colors through CRTC41. In this case, the maximum and minimum values among sampling data which are obtained within the specific time and stored in the RAM32 are removed by the MPU31 and the mean value of the remaining data is calculated and written in a specific address of the RAM32; and the mean value data is read out at the time of the input of the interface 38 to calculate the current position. |
