PURPOSE:To obtain the peripheral surface with a high polished degree in uniform flat and smooth accuracy, by vertically moving a rotary finishing buff in a buff finish polishing part while it performs a follow-up correction to the peripheral deflection of a work in accordance with its rotation in a position, where the work is brought into contact with the buff, serving as a reference. CONSTITUTION:The upper and the bottom end of a work 2, in which plating parts 5 are piled together onto a core metal 4, is guided to be held by a guide part 7a in a guide mechanism 7 and chucking mechanism 6. A finish polishing part 14 is supported to a traversable supporting arm in a vertically slidable moving bed 10 through a plurality of guide shafts 9, 9, and a position, where a buff disc 13 of the finish polishing part 14 is brought into contact with the work 2, is previously positioned by controlling a handle part through a position adjusting screw. A piston fixes its cylinder A, B to an end of the supporting arm, and the piston, whose air pressure P is adjusted through a fluid control circuit pressure reducing valve when the work 2 bites into by a distance (b) or separates by a distance (a) from the buff disc 13, is retracted or moved leftward by the distance (a), (b), absorbing a deflection of the work 2. |
