<p>Compounds of general formula (I), wherein one of the R1, R2 and R3 groups represents a feruloyl or isoferuloyl group of formula (II) or (III), respectively, and the other R1, R2 and R3 groups represent hydrogen. These compounds have opiate receptor activity and may be used in treatment of the toxic effects of opiate narcotic analgesics. Preparation of these compounds by extraction from coffee, and by synthetic processes is disclosed.</p> |
